The effect of carbon black on the curing and mechanical properties of natural rubber/ acrylonitrile- butadiene rubber composites

The present work investigates the effect of amount carbon black on curing and mechanical properties such as tensile strength, elongation at break, hardness abrasion resistance natural rubber (NR)/ acrylonitrile-butadiene (NBR) blend. For that purpose, a blend composed 65% NR 35% NBR filled with different content N330 was used. results indicate viscosity crosslink density composites increase scorch times decrease increasing filler content. Mechanical modulus CB NR/NBR were remarkably improved, indicating inherent reinforcing potential CB. Regarding strength resistance, they addition black, up to 50 phr. After that, these slightly filleraddition.
